in fact, the final decision on which small business qualified for the 20% deduction wasn't announced until fall. There was also uncertainty around a lot of other deductions, including donations to athletic departments when a seat license is involved. I have both corporate and personal taxes and took a best guess last spring - adjusting now. No harm, no foul.
